MY ROLE

Creative Lead: product brand identity, sub-brand strategy, design and production

SCOPE

Logo and visual identity, marketing collateral, digital campaign assets, video adverts

BRIEF

Unispace needed a product brand identity for SPARK, a proprietary space planning and real-time knowledge calculator that takes the uncertainty out of workplace fit-outs.

Backed by data from thousands of Unispace projects worldwide, SPARK gives clients the ability to compare scenarios, model headcount and make confident decisions faster. The brief was to create a product brand identity that felt premium and technically credible while sitting coherently within the broader Unispace family.

CHALLENGE

The tension at the heart of the brief was differentiation without disconnection. SPARK needed to feel distinct enough to stand as a product in its own right, something clients would recognise and trust as a serious technology platform, without drifting so far from Unispace that it felt like a different company entirely.

Sub-branding at this level requires precise creative judgment. Too close and it disappears into the parent brand. Too far and it loses the credibility that comes from the Unispace name.

APPROACH

I developed SPARK as a sub-brand that sits deliberately within the Unispace family while carrying its own visual language. The identity needed to communicate precision, intelligence and speed, the core promise of the product, so the creative direction leaned into a clean, technical aesthetic that felt more product and platform than consultancy.

From the logo and visual identity I rolled the brand out across the full launch suite: marketing collateral, digital campaign assets including video ads, and a one-pager explainer designed to communicate a technically complex product simply and compellingly to a business audience.

OUTCOME

SPARK launched as a live client-facing platform, accessible to organisations working with Unispace on space planning projects. The brand system gives the product a distinctive, credible presence that reinforces Unispace's position as a data-led, technology-enabled workplace consultancy, not just a design and build firm.
